Stepping into Burberry

Being transported to the world of luxury is more than possible but with all the correct angles, lighting and equipment- this was one of our major takeaways while filming the Burberry store in collaboration with Vogue. Delving into luxury with none other than Vogue and Burberry is an experience beyond imagination. Not only do such collaborations bring together the expertise of two iconic heritage brands but it also helps us assimilate into the renowned aesthetics of each brand that has been dedicated to elegance and style for ages. 

For us, this collaboration between Vogue and Burberry elevated our experience to new heights. Our goal was to craft content that seamlessly integrated the essence of both brands, ensuring a harmonious fusion. The output revealed the beautiful new Burberry store that recently opened up in Jio World Plaza. 

As we come in from a production perspective, filming a store location demands the most authentic form of content, ensuring all angles of the store are covered and the lighting accurately reflects the atmosphere and ambience of the space.  This video had to essentially capture all areas of the store along with a hand model that was used to model all the new launches.

Initially, when we started working on planning and strategising ideas for the Burberry store, we looked up to references that walked through the location and focused on different areas through creative transitions that provided a holistic outlook of the space, clean and crisp- something that aligned with the brief.

But often it becomes difficult to conceptualise ideas and capture a space without actually having been there- a difficulty we faced upon starting the filming process. Something that we realised early on was that the entire store was covered in floor-to-ceiling mirrors, which made it difficult to capture certain elements without any background or human inclusion.

To combat this, we planned on filming all videos and stills from a variety of angles, making sure everything was captured without the crew being visible in the background. From transitions for accessories to clothes and various other elements, planning and executing these videos required a meticulous approach to get a result that was seamless through and through.

Our biggest learning curve with such projects is to overcome any obstacle on the spot and just keep moving whether it’s combatting mirror walls or even just about customers coming in to inquire about products during the shoot.

The post-production process involved intense colour grading to recreate the most genuine output and putting together transitions to curate a video that had a holistic overview of the Burberry, felt eclectic with all the quick transitions and experimental editing styles and the music which elevated the feel and brought about the much-needed drama to finish the video. 

Collaborating with Vogue x Burberry was a dream come true. Not only did this shoot give us the opportunity to collaborate with the most renowned names in fashion but also helped us delve into luxury fashion and experiment with content from a different standpoint altogether making each experience with Conde Nast a unique one.
